Union Blockade of Charleston
Do you know what the blockade of Charleston is?
The blockade of Charleston is when boats blocked Charleston so they could not escape. This is scary how are we supposed to escape. The boys are protecting us but it is still scary. Our dresses are ripped and dirty. Civilian goods were shipped into the confederate states on vessels known as blockade runners. Oh I forgot to tell you my name my name is Caroline randle. It is so hard not able to get food and tea. I miss having tea parties and our cookies. I don’t like being blockaded. It is not fair! We need our supplies like clothes and cloth and we can not get blankets to keep us warm in the winter. Would you like being blockaded and unable to get supplies and food?
